Côte d’Ivoire has a large Lebanese population so I was super excited to try their food since I’d never had it before. IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT!😋 Had me wanting book the next flight to Lebanon 👀 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ What country have you had the best food in?
here lies a wild Amanda in her natural habitat: drinking wine, eating two plates of food, and minding her business. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #ProbablyWasntMindingMyBusiness #ThisWasMyThirdGlass #IHadToGoTakeANapInTheMiddleOfTheWedding #HalfTimeBreak #ImGettingTooOldForThis
📍 Assinie, Côte d’Ivoire 🇨🇮 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The Africa the media never shows you.
Cheers to love 🥂♥️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Why Côte d’Ivoire as my first African country? Well, it kinda chose me. My beautiful sorority sister, @shai.esq, was getting married and there was no way I was going to miss it. She is Haitian and her husband is Ivorian/Ghanaian. Their wedding incorporated both of their cultures beautifully and I’m so blessed to have been able to experience it. If you’re interested in learning more about their traditional wedding, be sure to check out my IG highlight 💃🏽
Lowkey cliche, but there was something about the Ivory Coast that truly made me feel home. Eating the food, dancing to the music, and interacting with the locals were such spiritual experiences which made this trip one of kind. ♥️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This was my first time in Africa and I’m itching to visit more countries in this beautiful continent. I can’t choose where I want to go next though bc I wanna see it all 😩 Which country in Africa has been your favorite?
When I’m out and about, feeling fresh on-the-go is hella important to me. Thanks to my friends at @goodwipes, I fell in love with these Down There wipes on my recent trip to Côte d’Ivoire. They have a great lavender scent, they’re pH balanced, and they’re eco-friendly. Literally saved my life, but imma spare y’all the details 😅💩 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #GoodWipes #IRebukeAStankBooty #TheyHadMyBack #AndMyFront #SoFreshAndSoCleanClean
